About Simon Tranter Photography

I am a professional Landscape and Architecture photographer. Inspired by the infinite variations of the land, light and time. I enjoy exploring different environments particularly around the New Forest, Dorset and Pembrokeshire, then taking photographs to capture what I have experienced. I am fascinated by the effects of light in the late afternoon to the last light after sunset and again from before sunrise until mid morning.

My interest in photography developed while I was working as an engineering apprentice. I realised that photography was my passion, so I returned to college to complete a BTEC Foundation course in Art and Design, before embarking on, and successfully completing a HND, BA (Hons) degree and PQE (BIPP) qualification in photography at Salisbury College, one of the most prestigious photographic college in the U.K.

I now use Professional quality Digital SLR cameras to produce high-resolution images. Images are then adjusted in contrast and balanced to reflect the original visualisation as closely as possible. Many of the images on this site are shot on film and scanned to a very high quality. These images can then be supplied for stock and commissions or as high quality prints on photographic paper created at the lab.

You can see more of Simon's work on Alamy and at National Trust Picture Library.
